I ended up making a few last minute changes to my list... but that's ok.. that's the beauty of knitting :-)

There has been a suggestion to keep our group open for next year's knitting to get underway early... I"m happy to do that... though I probably won't post very frequently :-) I also will share a KAL that I was directed to that you all might also be interested in...it's called the Gift Along and here's the link:

http://knitallyear.blogspot.com/

Please check it out... there's a list of goals for you to post on... and it looks like it's quite similar to our group though with the idea that you might be knitting other gifts.. birthdays, babies, you name it :-)

As a review.. here's what I've accomplished:

Mystery items x3 (January)

Malach, Rochester (due Dec 28th)
MIL - Felted Bag
FIL - Ribbed Hat (OTN)
Joe - Ribbed Hat
Michelle - Felted Bag
Joey - Snowman Hat (Done)
Elijah - Snowman Hat (Done)
Andrea - Snowman Hat (Done)

Malach, Pittsburgh (due Dec 28th)
Sarah - Felted Bag

Malach, Wilkes-Barre
John - Socks (After Christmas, yarn came in)
Abby - Snowman Hat (fortunately I haven't Cast on because she keeps changing her mind)
JJ - Snowman Hat (Done)
Chelsea - Snowman Hat (Done)

Beth and family
2 snowman hats (Done)
Felted bag (will be late, and she already knows)

Crothers'(delivered Dec 1 by hubby on his trip to MN for work)
Walt - ribbed hat (Done)
Kathy - Felted Bag (Done)
Leila - Felted Bag (Done)
Suzanne - Happy Hat (Done)
Conor - Black and red hat (Done)

Mom: Market Bag (Done)
Nicki: Dishcloths x4 (Done)
Rylee: Dishcloths x4 (Done)
Marty: Jester Hat in Red (Done)

Terri: Jester Hat in Santa colors (DONE)
Anne: Jester Hat in Santa colors (DONE)

Merry Christmas my knitting friends!Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16053623093261356499noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344170531986191923.post-46337254605744644912007-12-20T20:46:00.001-05:002007-12-20T20:53:03.358-05:00Finished....Finally! WHEW!Update on me....I've finished everything that I had on my list previously and I'm now going to try to get a few more finished that I didn't know if I would ever have time for.

I'm also wondering if anyone else here is planning on starting their Christmas knitting earlier for 2008. I already know of some items that I can go ahead and start knitting on after the new year arrives. If I do that then maybe I won't feel so crunched when it comes down to it next year.

I would love it if this groups stays up and running. That way it will keep me going.

KimKimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02431796862690377356noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344170531986191923.post-64527974169610260202007-12-15T12:44:00.000-05:002008-12-11T01:10:17.039-05:00Completed Stocking!

Here it is, all finished in time for the big day....whew! Some socks for my Mom in Knit Picks Felici yarn- Firefighter colorway! The kiddos broke my digital camera (the SECOND one in a year) so I cannot post pics ;o(

OTN: a black & purple scarf for my eldest daughter in black & purple stripes, all in garter stitch with the color changing every 20 rows. A "wand" holder from Harry Potter Knits- the Dragon Scale one I'm doing in green with size 3 needles for my youngest son (he is studying to become a Music Teacher and needed a holder for his directing "wand"). Another pair of socks using Lorna's Laces sport weight yarn in Pioneer colorway for Hubby.

Still planned: a pair of socks for a dear friend, some wash cloth sets for sisters, a tie for my Father, something for my new 3 year-old niece (my brother just got married two weeks ago), and now my oldest son as requested a AFGHAN in black & shades of blue! I am thinking of crocheting this since I crochet so much faster than knit. Or, maybe I will finally set up my knitting machine that has been in the box since bought 3 years ago and give it a try for the afghan.Krazi Knitterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08507446098706464016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344170531986191923.post-38706604323556590142007-11-08T12:59:00.000-05:002007-11-08T13:01:36.569-05:00Hello All!!!

I passed the boards for LPN!!!

ok, onto knitting ;)

R-socks, at least one pair and maybe a hat - sock started
Mom-hat (maybe a scarf and sox)
Uncle D-Grandma's blanket - done
Uncle C- Fingerless gloves - started
Aunt R- scarf - done!
Aunt K-scarf - done
Aunt E- scarf - done
Uncle M-hat - done
Poppa R- hat - done
B- hat - done
R's mom-scarf - done
Meme - scarf - done

Just remember - knitting is supposed to be enjoyable!

TibbersUnknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344170531986191923.post-88413478588346670302007-11-08T06:37:00.000-05:002008-12-11T01:10:19.271-05:00Present progressHere is a picture of my 1st Booga Bag. This is the 1st thing that I have felted. I think it turned out great! It's a Xmas gift for my SIL. I have 3 more to make for gifts and 1 for me. I also have a shawl finished for my grandmother that needs to be blocked and I'm over half way through a Charlotte's Web shawl for my Mom. I haven't worked on it for a while. I really need to get moving. I'm also working on a pair of socks for me and need to make a pair for my grandmother. So it's no surprise that my Christmas list keeps changing. It helps none at all that my sweet mother inlaw's birthday is all of 12 days away, and my hubby and sister both have pre-Christmas birthdays.

I'm getting ready to cast on for my hubby's post-anniversary socks, and then, my MIL's birthday pedicure socks. THEN, the Christmas knitting can begin. There will be a lace stole for my stepmom, a lace scarf for my sister, socks for my mother, another pair of regular socks for my MIL, and that should be about it, aside from some small gifts for my online friends. I'm also hoping for a few other Wick house socks, but those are the ones that simply must happen!SissySeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13249971578077045662noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344170531986191923.post-52639765076155486292007-10-29T20:43:00.002-04:002007-10-29T20:46:43.391-04:00Hello!!Just wanted to say hello.... I also added traction - see how! I'd definitely recommend this pattern. If you have any questions about it feel free to drop me a line at my blog.

I've decided not to even buy the wool for the other 4 pairs of Felt Clogs until I get to England.
